When children face a serious medical challenge that results in a series or pattern of school absences, they may be eligible for homebound/hospital tutoring services. In order to be eligible for homebound/hospital educational services, the District must have a physician’s statement certifying that the medical condition requires the student to be absent from school for an extended period or a pattern of absences.
