About Health Services

There are multiple roles that make up the health services team.

HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER

The Health Services Manager organizes and implements a comprehensive health services program for the District. The Health Services Manager provides leadership and collaboration in developing and implementing the basic health services program in the district and oversees all health care staff in the district.

CERTIFIED SCHOOL NURSE (CSN)

The Certified School Nurse plays a crucial role within the special education team by providing expertise in medical reviews, serving as a case manager for 504 plans, and working closely with special education students. Their responsibilities may require them to be present at multiple schools to support special education teams effectively.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Our Registered Nurses oversee the daily needs of the school building and perform the daily nursing procedures. They also help to make sure that the school’s paperwork such as physicals, immunizations and healthcare plans are up to date. Our RNs are assigned to every school, some serving more than one school.

HEALTH ASSISTANT (HA)

Our Health Assistants are often the first person your child will see when they come to the health office. They will provide basic first aid to your child and consult with the RN as needed. They help with gathering and entering medical documentation and supervising medication administration. Health assistants are assigned to a building based on the need of the school.
